Loyalty Program: how does "by total amount spent" work?

Hi,

I run a nail salon, where I set $20 equals to 1 star, and by total amount spent method.

My question is that is the total amount spent accumulative?  or it's only within a single order?

Say, a customer spent $35 at her first visit, which will give her 1 star, then if at the second time she spends $12, will the system give her 1 more star using the remaining amount of last visit? ($12 + $35-20 = $27)  or she won't be award any star for the second visit?

Thanks!

They will only get a star once they reach that $20 threshold for a single transaction... Meaning, it will not accumulate. You could  set the dollar amount lower... Maybe $5/star, and set your star goal higher. That way your customers are more likely to get some sort of reward for every visit.

Is this still set to where they have to meet the dollar amount in a single transaction? That is so not user friendly.

Hey @Shopcolies As of right now, Square Loyalty can be configured per Amount Spent, Per Visit, Per Item in a given category, or per any item.

I hope this answers your question.
