So I have a question about Order Limiting
I sell burgers for collection on my square site https://smash-n-slide.square.site/ so I can only sell X amount of burgers per slot - lets say 5 burgers per 15mins. Is there a way to limit the amount of burgers being sold per slot? see example below:
Customer 1: places order for 5pm for 3 burgers
Customer 2: places order for 5pm for 2 burgers
Customer 3: wants to place order for 5pm but 2 burgers but I don't have any capacity left for this time slot, so it offers them the next time slot 5:15pm.

Hey there @smashnslide!
Here's what I know...
If you go to Square.online > Settings > Pickup & Delivery > Advanced settings, you'll reach a page that shows this
You may then input your limit!
This is also explained in this thread : Online Orders - Troubleshooting

Thanks for the reply, I actually did see this option, however I don't think this actually solves my problem.
So this would mean if I set this order limit to 5, it would still mean 2 customers would be able to order under the limit e.g.
Customer 1 orders 4 items at 5pm
Customer 2 orders 4 items at 5pm
This means I am over my capacity. I wanted the ability in the system to only allow a specific number of items to be sold per slot, so for my example 5 items per slot.

I understand, upon taking a further look into the pickup options, this may be a question/feature request for @tranguyen in that case as I do believe I've seen similar things be posted about before however I don't know what ever came of it and cannot find a setting to control the total orders, the only workaround I can think of is adapting your prep times to allow you to handle large amounts of orders, while also restricting large orders to a certain amount to avoid single customers ordering 10+ burgers.

Hey @smashnslide, thanks for raising this! @MJD is right in saying this is actually a feature request. Right now, you can limit the number of items per orders as Matt outlined but there isn't a way to limit the number of items per orders per slots.
Another way of controlling the number of items you are selling would be to set a stock number. While this also won't take into account the slot times, it does means customers will not be able to place an order once the item is sold out.
Alternatively, you may want to stagger the time even further by changing the limits to perhaps only 1 or 2 orders every 15 minutes to make sure the kitchen isn't overwhelm.
I'll definitely share this request with our ECOM team so they can look to add this as a feature as well.

Hi @tranguyen please can you submit as a feature, as this would be very helpful to manage orders properly.

I believe Tra has shared this with the ECOM team so they’ll be able to consider ways to integrate this!
