Limit Plans to Locations
The real need: Have payments for Plans and associated Subscriptions be paid to a separate bank account.
In order for Square to pay into separate bank accounts, I need separate Locations. Fine. Items can be restricted to Locations, so I can limit what can be sold where.
BUT!
While I can assign a Location when I create a Subscription from a Plan, I cannot limit the Location(s) to which a Plan applies.
If I have a Plan which requires certain facilities not available at some Locations, I should be able to limit the plan (and therefore its Subscriptions) to an applicable Location.
I can't even change the default Location for a Plan.
Help?

Hey @wyldbill - Thanks for your feedback. While we understand what you are trying to accomplish, Square doesn’t offer the ability to limit the plan (and therefore its Subscriptions) to applicable Locations. I agree that it would be great to have this setting available. We will keep you updated if anything changes.
Have a good day.

Our organization uses square payroll and has different types of businesses operating out of the same square account; one is a farm, another is a cafe, and the other is a market. We'd like to keep them all under one account so that we can use only one square payroll account. We would like to be able to separate the different business segments by location but as it currently works, we would have to pay a subscription fee for each location for all types of upgraded POS software, e.g. Restaurants, Retail, in order to have the software we need to operate well. It would be helpful to be able to select and pay for different POS subscriptions by location rather than across the whole account, such that each location has what it needs and square payroll can still pool everybody across the different locations. 1As it is set up now, this is cost prohibitive and we are having to use various complicated workarounds that makes our data less helpful than it could be. Please help!

This isn't a good enough answer. Please fix this, as it makes your Subscription feature unusable for those with multiple locations. If appointments can have different locations, subscriptions should as well.

We moved on from Square’s Subscriptions a while ago. This and other limitations make it difficult and error prone to use. IMO it was released prematurely and is being evolved too slowly. Unfortunately, less use will probably deprioritize its development even further.
