Is there a way to select different items shown on different devices?

I have volunteers using their personal devices to sell a few items each at different locations in a park.  Is there a way to have only the items they are selling show up on their devices so they cannot accidentally select an item, not at their location? TIA

@astoddard

Good question, and yes this is do-able.

You'll want to set up your business with multiple locations, and tailor your items to each location.

This article should help you get started, and you can keep each "location" as mobile locations.

Thank you @kellyj  - one more follow up question.  Can this be done with mobile free staff? How do they log in then to only see the items I have assigned to them?

Absolutely! You can set up your mobile staff with device codes. When the log in, they will choose the location they are supposed to be taking payments on.

A lot of people using this option make the name of the location the person who will be taking payments, and then they choose their name when they have logged in with their device code.

More on setting up Device Codes here

This reply was created from merging an existing thread: Differnt views by terminal

We have a couple of terminals/iPads and would like to be able to alter which items appear on which terminal. For example, we host dances, have a kitchen, and a bar. We would like to be able to only have tickets available a the entry terminal, food at the kitchen terminal, and drinks at the bar terminal. Is that possible?

Great question, @Lodge88! The best way to accomplish this would be to set up a location for each of the areas you are wanting to have specialized Item Libraries for. In your case, you would set up three locations, for example: TicketsKitchen, and Bar could be the names of each "location". When you create these locations, you will also create an individual Item Library for each location.

I've moved your post to this thread where @kellyj has included a super link that should help in providing further direction. Remember to link your bank account to each location to avoid running into any troubles once you get started 😊
