Is there a way to link a booking button to a specific item or service?

Is there a way to link a booking button to a specific item or service yet? I would like to have a services page on my Wix website that has buttons linking out to book specific services.

Hey there, @T-pin -

Jumping in for Bernadette on this one.

I am going to suggest reaching out to our CS Team directly to get a deeper look into the issue. From everything you've described, it sounds like you did everything right.

Contacting our CS will give them the opportunity to file a ticket with our engineers, if necessary.

Appreciate you reaching out with this issue!

You can create a custom booking tool through your Dashboard for specific services.

You can even add a button to your emails if you need to, @PIN.

Here's a link to the page in your account where you can create custom booking tools, and you can learn more about creating widgets by heading to this page and scrolling to the bottom for the Advanced Options for an existing website section. Let me know if you have questions!

Thanks @Valentina this is a cool feature, and almost solves my problem, but I am still having some issues with it. If I place a button linking to the widget on my Wix site, once the button opens the widget, I can't close the widget again to continue viewing the site, I would have to reload the whole page. Is there is a way I can have it open in a new window? That would be ideal for me.

Do you mean that clients have to press "back" in order to get back to your Wix site, @T-pin?

At this time, it's not possible to force the widget open up in a new tab by default.
That would be considered a feature request at this time.

@Valentina, it's not that clients have to press "back" its that in order to close the widget after it opens via the "book" button that is generated by the widget code, they have to reload the page. The widget doesn't close when they click outside it or have an X to close it with.

Hi @T-pin We're still trying to get a solid answer for you, but can you post a link to you Wix site with the embedded button so we can see it in action?

Thanks for looking into this. Here is what the widget looks like (it's the light blue "book now" button under the "Free Discovery Call" heading. Not the one at the top of the page). https://www.tylerbegg.com/copy-of-offerings

Hm.. that is interesting. Did you copy/paste the code exactly from the Square dashboard, or did you edit the code before adding to Wix?
