Is there a way to export item list from square to Excel, etc?

Is there a way to export the item list from Square to Excel or some other format?  I'm trying to integrate Square with QuickBooks Online and make my items align.

Note that if you have more than one location set up, then there is an extra step to find the Import/Export tool. After getting to your master list of items, click on any item and select a location under Inventory. Click Go. The Import/Export button is now on the top right hand side of the page. You can now import/export all the items for that location.

I just spoke to Square support and the rep said they know that's funky and time consuming and that they are working on it.

Additionally, he said that you can then copy all of the items you put at one location into another and then delete (or add) location specific items, if you want.

I need to go in and change the prices on all of our items. Is there not a way to "bulk change" so I do not have to go in and retype every single one?

There's no way to edit item prices in bulk. Perhaps an easier way is to export your item library from your Dashboard to a spreadsheet then import them after you've made changes. This thread tells you how. Check out the first page.

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: INVENTORY

How do I get an excel spreadsheet of my inventory to print out? Or is this something that I need to export and import myself?

Hi @GAGA2 - From Dashboard, use the Export option from the Items tab to download a CSV of your Library. Option found in the Actions drop down menu in the top right corner of the Items page.

From the CSV file, search for the column titled Current Quantity to view stock levels.

I am trying to export my inventory into excel - I don't have the export option, nor do I have an option to click my item - location inventory - export.  Any other suggestions?

Is there a way to do an inventory export to XLS or CSV automatically?   I need to get an export daily to sync with Locally, but I don’t want to have to have a person go and manually pull this every day and upload it to Locally.

Thanks

—Chris

Hey @ScubaTrainors,

Welcome to the Community!

There is no way to export your inventory automatically into an excel document. You will have to export this document manually.

Let me know if I can assist with anything else.

@ScubaTrainors ;

I asked about the same thing or to let excel Link to the files for viewing only through Excel.  That way I could use Excels Power Query to check for quantities and if the item was listed as an item we have or had in the past when receiving items to keep from having duplicates. Plus since I use another web host who lets me export my daily sales I could use Power Query to adjust the quantities and then just manually up load them in the morning before my store opens.  So far you need a person to connect to Square to export the Items list manually either by .xlsx or .csv file types, and then I can run the power queries, then update everything in Square.  I did ask for this as a feature request and it was updated.  Not sure what that means besides someone looked at it thought it was a good idea and it might be looked at by the next team.?

Here is the link to my request:
