International shipping from UK

Hello.

I'm hoping to sell my art (paintings) online, but am struggling with knowing how to process international orders.

Estimating the cost for shipping large(ish) art overseas is very difficult. So, I think I need a solution where international customers are asked to contact me for a quote.

I understand that if I don't include shipping for international orders, they will receive a message telling them that I don't ship to their country. But what happens then? Does it mean they can't buy my paintings?

Is there a way of customising that message to get them to contact me? And if they do, presumably I would arrange payment manually via PayPal or send them an invoice?

I'm not sure how else to do this.

Thanks.

Hey @MKLewis24, thanks for checking this.

If you haven't set up shipping to specific countries, customers will see a message that you do not ship to that country and they won't be able to complete their purchase. At the moment we don't have the ability to edit this message but we are constantly improving our products based on feedback like this, so I will share this with the Product team.

What you could do is create a pop up or banner on your online site to inform customers if they want to order internationally they will need to contact you directly first for a quote.

You can arrange for customers to pay you by a Square Checkout Link or Square Invoices

I hope this will help.

Alegra,

Thanks for confirming that international customers won't be able to proceed with the order.

A pop up or banner is a good idea, I will do that.

To be able to send them a Square invoice is a good solution. But it would be good if your product team could tell the customers to contact the seller about this in the message they receive.

The Square checkout link also sounds very useful. I will definitely look into that.

Many thanks.

Hello again,

The pop ups seem to have been moved from the overview page to the marketing/Summary section, but I can't find the banners anywhere. Can you tell me where I might find them?

Thanks.
