Hi @Skolounge and welcome to the Seller Community. We're happy to have you! As for your question, you are correct. We currently only support the ability to have up to 7 Item Grid pages. Have you considered adding categories? This would let you store more items within the grid.

PS) If my answer solved your problem, would you mind marking it as "Best Answer"? That'll help the rest of the community find what they're looking for. If not, just write back, and I'll continue to help. Thanks!

Is there a way to arrange the order of the grid pages?  For example, I have Wine, Soda and Beer pages and would like to have the Beer page to be the first on the list, It's currently the last page listed.  Using the Square Register, the pages show up on the left side of the screen.

@KC_Phil -  You should  be able to tap and hold one of the grid squares to enable editing mode, then tap and hold the page to move them in the order you want.

Not sure if those are the specific steps in order - it's been a while since I've tested this - but let me know if it works out!!

Good idea, but I couldn't get that to work.  That works for arranging items on the grid, but not for changing the way the pages are listed.  I ended up creating a new page, duplicating items on that  page, delete items on the old page and then repeat until the pages were in the order that I wanted.

Hi there, @KC_Phil - I can step in for Justin in his absence here. This is an interesting one, indeed - but I'm glad you found a workaround! Thanks for jumping back here and sharing what worked for you. This is the solution we landed on as well, which seems a bit cumbersome. In this vein, I am passing some suggested feedback along to our Product Teams and will inquire if there are any changes coming to this process in the future.

Thanks again for sharing what worked for you!

This is the issue I am faced with now as well. I have to create new pages but that page needs to be the 2nd page, not the 6 - and being limited to 7 pages is terrible! Make a second line of pages then...

Also, the suggestion to using categories is also terrible, and completely anti-UI standards. We need to be having LESS buttons to push - not more. Especially in a busy bar - every moment counts. Currently, steps are: enter code to activate POS, click pages button to get to the correct page, click the category, click again on the next category, scroll to find product and click to bring up the item, choose a quantity.

There are just too many steps already... and why the staff are asking for a reduction - and additional pages are being considered.

@JPWilkinson thanks for the feedback! It is really valuable to know exactly why a feature is needed for your business. I'm sorry that the current workarounds are not working best for your business. I will share that feedback as well as your other requests with the team. Thank you!

Staff ask now is for larger buttons for more often selected buttons - 4 squares worth - so the need for more grid pages is now critical.

How can I add more than 25 items to my register screen?  Can you have more than 1 page of items and if so how do I do that?

Hey @JakeBreak

You totally can have more than 1 Grid page!

Just tap and hold on one of the items on your grid to hop into editing mode, and then you'll see an additional page appear at the bottom of the screen. Once you add something to that page, another new page will appear at the bottom and so on!

Hope that helps,

Hi - new to Square and spent plenty of time setting things up.

This seems crazy that the there is a 7 page x 25 item restriction, which I assume has been in place for at least 4 years since the first discussion item. Plus the other issue with not moving pages.

I then considered Square for Restaurants, but the interface is not as user friendly (i.e. can't use images, only text based). I was so hoping it would be straightforward, but alas not.

Hi @Lexies,

Thanks for writing in and letting us know that this is still something you're hoping we improve!

It would be great if you could let us know a bit more about how many items you'd ideally like to see, so we can pass on some more detailed feedback on to our product team.

PS. I noticed it's your first post, welcome to our community 👋 🙂

Thank you Arie.

My priority would be pages - max of 12 pages would be fantastic... though once thats implemented Ill probably be wanting more!

25 items per page is a lesser priority, but I guess options like that seen in the Square Restaurant app to resize (thus fit more) would be great.

I also notice Im posting on the US community forums, though Im based in Australia. Apologies if there are differences in the software between regions.

There is an Australian part of the forum as well, which you can find here but you're welcome to explore, and post in any part of our community!

A workaround to make the most out of the pages currently available, would be to assign your items to categories, and displaying the category tiles on your pages. e.g add all your beverages to the a category called "drinks".

Let us know if this could be a workable workaround for you 🙂
