How do you push the button on the square reader when it is in the dock (to re-pair with an iPad)?

My android phone connects just fine to the reader when in the dock but after a short time of inactivity it disconnects. A message appears on the phone saying "push button on reader to connect" which requires removal of reader from dock. This is next to impossible...the reader will not freely slide out of the dock after removing the keeper. Is there a solution?

Hello cidermaker! 

I'm sorry to hear you've been having trouble with your Contactless and Chip Card Reader. To reconnect the reader you will have to remove it from the dock, so you can reach the button on the bottom. It shouldn't take that long to remove the reader from the dock. There's a little indentation at the back of the dock, you'll lift straight up to remove it. From there it should slide out fairly easily.
