I currently use a different appointments software and am hoping to move to square... I have the trial right now and am setting it up. I was told I could import my existing client data to square. Doesn anyone know how? I definitely need to import existing first, last name, phone number, email and future appointments. It would be great to be able to import past appointments as well. And I'm assuming I'll need to acquire their credit card information again for square and that cannot be imported?
Thank you,
Dafna

Hello @MissionAcu, I can certainly help!
Square has the ability to import your clients information in bulk! To get started you will have to head to your Square Dashboard and the Customers tab.
Once you're on this page select the Import/Export option on the left side of the page. If you click on Import it will pull up a pop up prompting you to drag and drop a CSV file. Select the option to download our CSV templet.
Once your done adding all of your customers info to the templet you can head back to the import tool. You will just need to drag and drop your file into the box and the final step is to assign the fields for the column assignments. Then hit import! 😀
Currently Square does not have the ability to import appointments or calendars from other scheduling software. You will have to manually add these by hand. It is a feature request so I will make sure to flag your post for our Appointments Product Team.
If I can help with anything else feel free to comment back! I'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Thank you Chad,
This was very helpful. I imported my 500 plus clients!
And now for the next question: inventory!
Is there a way to bulk enter items? I don't need to enter amounts in stock, just the items from my old system so I don't have to manually enter all of them.
As a side note, how do we keep track of the amount of items? Is this possible in Square, or is it just listing items, not tracking inventory?
Thank you again,
Dafna

Hi @MissionAcu
You can definitely import your existing items in bulk. Check out this Support Center article for information on how to do so:
You can keep track of inventory amounts from your dashboard as well so long as you enable Inventory Management for your items.

Rather than logging into Dashboard on your mobile Android device, the import might be easier from a computer. Try there using Google Chrome for your browser.

the answer I found on square was posted in 2017. Since it's now 2021, has this feature been added yet? I need to be able to import my entire information. it's 4 years worth of history.

Hi @bestnails,
Sorry you are having some issues, happy to help.
In your customer directory on dashboard you do not see option to import?
You are using Google Chrome correct? Can you provide screenshot of what you are seeing.
Thank you!

This reply was created from merging an existing thread: Merge styleseat schedule
Is there a way to merge styleseat clients and schedule? I am thinking of merging as I feel this would be easier for one on my pocketbook. Can you do it seamlessly?

Hi @Amberp,
For this inquiry, we recommend contacting our Appointments Team in order to have a specialist look into this integration possibility. Feel free to reach them via email here, or by giving them a call at 1 (855) 700-6000 (Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm PST) - but you'll also need your customer code. The steps to look up your code are here.
Please let me know if you have any other questions by replying to this thread.

Heya @CarolineM and welcome to the Community.
I moved your post to an existing thread where another seller asked the same question within the thread.
As far as I know, we don't offer any options to upload client formulas on top of their information.
You can contact our Appointments team directly here to see if there's any workarounds they can suggest!
