How do I end a recurring invoice series?

When I drop a customer or the customer goes else where how do I end the recurring invoice series?

Are you trying to cancel the series from your Square Dashboard?

You'll start by looking at your recurring series in your Square Dashboard.

  1. Click the 3 dots next to the series you want to cancel.
     
  2. Select End Series


     
  3. This pop-up will appear:



     

If you are doing this in-app, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Invoices.

  2. Tap Filter > Active Recurring Series > select the series.

  3. Tap Edit or End Series.

You can end a recurring invoice series from your Square Dashboard in the Recurring Invoices section. (Sign in >click Invoices > click Recurring from the menu.)

 

Click on the invoice series you want to cancel, and in the bottom right corner of the invoice details you can click End Series

I ddi end the series but Square keeps billing them every month.

I want to cancel Square now because I can't make it stop

I’m having trouble removing a current client from reoccurring billing. I have removed credit card info for now. So they don’t get charged. But it is still sending invoices

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community. 

 

To cancel an unpaid invoice:

 

  1. Sign in to your online Square Dashboard and click Invoices.
  2. Select the invoice you’d like to cancel.
  3. Click More > Cancel > Confirm Cancellation. For a recurring invoice series, click View Series > End Series > Confirm.

Once you confirm the cancellation, both you and the recipient will receive a confirmation email, and the invoice will no longer be payable. It’s important to note that if you cancel an invoice series, no confirmation email will be sent for future invoices.

I am having the same issue but when I click on the invoice there is no option to view series.  Does anyone why why this is happening

Hey @Lisa1980! Sorry, it looks a little different now.

 

When you login to your Dashboard, click the Recurring tab. Select the customer who you'd like to cancel the recurring series for and click End Series in the bottom right hand corner. Then Confirm.

im having a hard time finding CONFIRM after I end the recurring series....I've ended the series for 3 different clients and it keeps billing them every month.  They are furious.  I need HELP

After some tinkering, I have found the source of the recurring invoice under Subscriptions and was able to cancel the recurring payment from there.

how can I delete all invoices and start over.  The system does not want to let them go?????

Hello @Bcrp At this time invoices cannot be deleted. However, we do have an archiving feature that will hide these invoices from your view. 

 

To archive invoices follow these steps:

 

In your Square Invoices, go to Invoices and select the desired invoice.

  • Select More > Archive.
  • Select Archive Invoice to confirm.
  • To view all archived invoices, click on All Invoices at the top, and select Archive from the menu. To restore an archived invoice, select ... > Unarchive by the invoice in question when viewing your archived invoices folder.

Note: Archiving an invoice will not affect reporting metrics or reminders set for that invoice.

Hi I have two customers that each get invoiced every quarter. I set this up about 2 years ago. I think it was called "subscription" at the time. 

 

In the "Recurring Series" section there is NOTHING. It suggests I create my first "recurring series".

 

Yesterday I sepnt an hour trying to cancel one of the customers. I ened up changing his email to my own so he wouldnt receive the invoices. I cancelled his last 3 invoices manually.

 

Today a new one was created for him.

 

Each invoice is listed individually. There is no option to edit a series on any of them. There is nothing on each invocie indicating it is a series.

 

I am also thinking I will cancel square altogether.
