How can I limit or not accept new clients, before allowing him or her to book online?
I have only recently began using square and for the most part it has been great; however I would like to continue allowing my established clients to book the way it has been. For new clients I would like to either limit them to a couple of days; so I can make sure that on those days I leave a little extra time after each appointment (some people just take longer and neither the client nor I will completely know this until we have discussed it.
Booking my old way (a physical book) I could allow this; or not, while talking to them.
Square has made many things easier on many counts but I have now lost one of my long time clients because I am unable to accomidate her the way I used to.
Please Help!

Welcome to the seller community, @D-image, and thanks for bringing this up.
I had the chance to review your post and the ability to prioritize client bookings exactly as you've described isn't available at this time.
It sounds like an ideal solution would involve the ability to tag established customers with the ability to see a full range of openings, while applying a filtered view to new customers for your online booking site. I'll be sure to surface your post with our Appointments Team for a closer look—we do make incremental improvements on settings based on seller feedback.
For now, you might consider offering to manually book your established client's next appointment at the end of each session. I realize this workaround may come off as a bit awkward depending on the business/service type, but hope it helps you manage your relationships.
Please do keep in touch for updates, and let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for input. Being able to tag and filter clients would be great. I will continue to work around it now; but it would be awsome if this ends up being one of the capiblilies of the system.

Hi, I’d like advice on how to POST on my booking site( online) a statement like -
“I am currently not accepting new clients.”
As I am trying filter out clients and services I do not want to do.
And then PROVIDE a WaitList to accept clients I DO want to do.
Thankyou kindly
LavishLisa

Another seller posted in the Community looking for the same thing, but at this time, there's not a setting with Appointments that allows you to stop accepting new clients.
I've merged you with that Seller so we can keep track of everyone requesting a feature like this. We'll surface back here when we have an update to share.
Thanks for posting!

Is there any updates on the availability of a waitlist? There is an old thread asking about this from 2016 that has been archived, but there seems to be no solution to the problem.

Hello @tamarasamara!
Welcome to our seller community, we are thrilled to have you.
At this time, this is still a feature request.
We are unsure if this feature will be coming in the future, but this thread will be updated if it does.
Thank you.

Hi. So I’m looking at the current subscription plan options and I noticed under premium it lists “waitlist” as a feature but when I click “compare options” it takes me to another page that shows all the options each tier provides and “waitlists” isn’t one of the features. Can you confirm whether waitlist will be included in the premium subscription or not? Thank you.

I called In because I’m impatient and apparently it’s in beta testing. So not yet but in the works.

I would also love this feature!! I was just scrolling through that old thread looking for a solution, too. I'm a hairstylists and a waitlist would be SO beneficial to have for when I'm not accepting now clients.

Thanks for adding your vote to this feature @megangad! I can definitely see how this feature would be great for hairstylists, and hairdressers.

I would love this feature as well as the option to have clients pay a deposit instead of holding their card on file

Thank you for taking the time to share your interest in this feature @TLB92 I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.
Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
