At this time payment holds or preauthorizations are not possible in Square. Some of our Sellers process invoices and later refund them.

Hello @CoralCanyonHOA @30ABPS thanks for reaching out. Yes at this time this is a feature request. Our team is beta testing pre-authorized tabs for restaurants/bars at the moment though. I do not have an ETA of when testing will be done and if/when the feature would be rolled out. If there are any changes we will make sure to let you know.
