Hi,
My name is John I am a payroll/admin person at a company in Vermont. The state of Vermont (and several other states) no longer ask for an employee's gender. As such, I should no longer be required by square to misgender my employees. Furthermore when I simply leave it blank it pops up in big letters "please provide a VALID gender." This may seem like a small issue to some, however it is very important to me that all my employees, coworkers, and community members feel comfortable. This is a change that needs to happen ASAP.
If your state requires it, call your state reps and let them know it's not okay.
If your state doesn't require it, Square shouldn't either.
Please fix this.
