Find out if customer paid

I have a customer who says they paid but I don't see them paying. It was done through the internet. They have a receipt but on that day I don't even show that type of payment. Is there a way if they did this through the internet for me to see if or how they paid???

Just to clarify so we can best help. When you say through the internet are you meaning they said they paid through your square site?

If they have a receipt you should be able to search the transaction number
