FEATURE REQUEST: SQUARE KDS for Square retail version too.

Hi. I'm using Square POS for my Sushi Bar. It is connected with our website using Square E commerce(Weebly). 

Now, I'm using Bump KDS system for sushi bar. I tried to connect with Square KDS but it seems only work with Square Restaurant version. 

I'm using retail version because it is better for managing e commerce. 

Hope I can use new Square KDS, or Bump make their product better.

Hey @TheGoblin. Thanks for the post. You're right - this is a feature request. Fresh KDS is compatible with Point of Sale and Square for Restaurants, but not Square Retail. I have a list below of what exactly will work with KDS itself.

Square KDS is compatible with:

• RST POS on Register
• RST POS on iPads (iOS)
• Square Point of Sale on iPads
• Square Point of Sale on Android
• Square Terminal
• Square Online Store
• Any 3rd party delivery partner that sends Orders to Square
• Any 3rd party kiosk partner that sends Orders to Square

Do I understand you correctly that Square KDS will work if using the normal Square POS app even if I have a Square for Retail account and not a Square for Restaurants account?

I run a print shop that makes things to order - KDS would be very helpful for managing open orders. Is there a way to use this along with our Square for Retail account?

For what it’s worth I have a square for retail account because of the cost tracking and team features but actually use the normal square pos app because the retail one is lacking too many features that I need.

what I’m looking for is a way for incoming customer orders to be tracked and managed until completion - just like a kitchen display system except I run a print shop not a restaurant.

most of my customers don’t pay until pickup so Bump won’t work because Square doesn’t let Bump get item data for saved tickets only completed ones. 

I tried using Trello but the square to Zapier api also doesn’t support saved tickets or item details. 

im kind of at a loss on how to manage incoming orders without going to pap r tickets.

since we open more stores, Square POS is not the best option for me. This request doesn't even move, and multi location managing is hard with Square. I'm researching Toast POS or POS system from Korea or Taiwan. Many east asia country already using Kiosk broadly, Square was ok but now its not worth it considering their high rate fees. When bump kds sub end, we will change POS for 3 location.
