I couldn't get it to download on my older IPad either. Previously I had it downloaded but now when I try to access it, it just won't load the app. So I deleted the app and tried to reinstall the Square App but my IPad won't accept it. I was told that my IPad is too old and it won't accept the new app..

Hi @Scottcd
Is Sonim XP7700 the device model? If so, I'm not finding it in our compatibility list. Have you tried updating to the latest android OS version?

I can't download the app from the Google Play store, due to a message saying:
(!) Your device is not compatible with this version.
I am currently using a fully updated LG G Pad 7.0 LTE tablet, which is listed on the squareup.com site as compatible with all readers.
Any suggestions as to why this is occurring? I can't figure out the reason for the error on the Google Play store, because I can't see why by clicking on the error.

Hey @vickirob, sorry to hear that you're having trouble with downloading the app. Yes, it looks like you should still be able to use the magstripe reader with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0".
I would suggest that you give these mobile device troubleshooting tips a run-through. If that doesn't work, please let our Support Team know and they'll have a closer look at what's going on. Hope this helps clear things up!

@EdNewbold That sounds a bit strange.
So long as you're iPad is running iOS version 9.0 or later, you should be able to download the Point of Sale app.
Are you able to download other apps? There might be something going on with your iTunes or App Store account.
