Hi
I currently use a Square reader for a charitable local organisation when we have events.
I'm wondering if I can set up a donations option with Square without creating a website through Squareonline? Can I create a link to 'Square Donations' to put on our Facebook or Website Page?
Thanks in advance
😊

Hey @Vic30, wishing you a warm welcome to the Seller Community, and congrats on your first post!
Rather than using a website, you can create Square Online Checkout links to collect donations instead!
To get started with donations with Square Online Checkout in the online Square Dashboard:
- In your online Square Dashboard, go to Online Checkout.
- Select Create checkout link.
- Select Accept a donation.
- Enter a name for the link that will be displayed to the customer.
- Add an image by selecting Add Image. Select either an image from your files or from your existing item library. Note: If you add a new image to an item in your library that already has one, the new image will automatically replace the previous image.
- Add a description. The description for each checkout link has a 400-character limit.
- Select Create link.
- Select Copy to share the link anywhere.
To get started with donations with Square Online Checkout in the Square POS app:
- Enter the amount you want to charge in the keypad.
- Tap Charge.
- Tap Send Payment Link.
- Have your customer scan the QR code with their phone, or share the link in anyway you want (e.g. text, email, social media, etc.).
Note: You won’t be able to access checkout links in the Square POS app if you have multiple locations.
Your customer will enter the exact amount they will donate at the time of payment.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need anything else. Happy to help out in any way I can. 😊

Hi, thanks for your quick reply 😊
When I said website I did mean the Square Online, I'm not looking to create a shop front as such. So, your comprehensive instructions above look like they answer my question.
When I get a moment I shall investigate and hopefully be successful in my mission.
Thanks ever so much, have a good day.
