Don't apply discount to modifier
We sell milk in glass bottles, which carry a $2 discount. Since the customer will get back the full $2, we need to exclude the bottle deposits from discounts. We used to do this by making the bottle a separate item, but our cashiers would too frequently not remember to add the deposits, so now it's a modifier. However, we can't remove a discount just from the modifier, and not from the milk itself. Am I missing something? Can this feature please be added?

THere is not a way to remove the discount from a modifier as a modifier is part of the item.
I don't think you would be able to do this without having the item be a separate item that wouldn't be discounted.
a different thought, are the items on sale for a certain period of time? Because then you could increase the price of the glass modifier to $2.22 whenever the item is on sale for 10% off and the final price would be $2.00. then when not on sale reset the price to $2.00
