I created a duplicate recurring invoice by accident. I would like to remove it from my recurring invoice tab entirely. I have ended the recurring invoice, but there is no way to actually DELETE it as far as I can find...

Or at least be able to set the default filter to Active, so they don't show up...

Welcome to the Community!
Go to your Invoices tab on your Dashboard. There you can go to Invoices and you can filter based on Sent, Outstanding, etc.
Also, you have the option to Archive the Invoice, so it will remove it from being seen.

I already said that I know how to filter but you can't set a default filter, every time I go to the recurring page, I have to select Active to remove the "Ended" recurring invoices.
And I see no way of archiving a recurring invoice in the Recurring tab. When I click on the 3 dots, I only see "view invoices" and if I click on it, same thing for buttons at the bottom.

Try clicking the individual invoice. At the bottom, there should be a "More" button on the right. It will give you options to Download as a PDF or Archive.
There isn't a way to set the as a default filter. It would always start as "All Invoices". I can recommend this as a Feature Request for our Invoices Team.

An invoice was never created as it was a scheduled invoice for a recurring invoice that was never sent because it was a duplicate.
I'm talking about this page: https://squareup.com/dashboard/invoices/series

That link is for your dashboard, so I wouldn't be able to use it.
I would recommend reaching out our Support Team directly, so they can take a deeper look what's going on with your Recurring Invoices.

That is not a link to MY dashboard. That is a generic link to anyone's dashboard if they are logged in...
