Great question!

 

There are tons of answers and content within the Seller Community that may answer your question without giving our Support Team a call (see below for the steps to call in). You can try searching for your question on the homepage of the Seller Community

If you’re still unable to locate an answer to your question, you can contact our Support Team via email, chat, or phone. Here is a great resource which explains the variety of ways to contact us.

 

If you’d like to call our Support Team, you’ll need your customer code when calling outside business hours. In order to find your customer code, try these steps:

 

  1. Sign In to your Square account.
  2. Click Resources in the top right corner of your screen.
  3. Click Contact and ask to speak to a representative.

 

Once you have your customer code, you can dial our Support Team phone line at (855) 700-6000 and enter your customer code.

This is what I did to speak to a live person.

BEFORE you call you MUST have a customer code.

Please DO NOT call unless you have that code.

To get code go to:

*Pro tip: make sure you choose what your issue is with drop down menus, it helps to better field your call, to get to “Click Call Support” which generates your 12 digit customer code.

 

Contact Square Support

Your Customer Code helps us locate your account to better assist you when you call Square Support. To contact us with your Customer Code, sign in and follow the steps below:

  1. Search or select your issue. Choosing your issue enables us to solve your problem faster by either offering up an Instant Answer, or by connecting you with the appropriate Support Specialist once you call in.
  2. Review the Instant Answer. If it doesn’t address your question, click “I Still Need Help”.
  3. Click Call Support.
  4. You’ll see your 12 digit Customer Code.
  5. Call[Redacted], enter your Customer Code, and we’ll connect you with a Support Specialist as quickly as we can.

Phone support is only available for active Square Sellers, and Specialist availability varies based on time of day. Our Support Center holds hundreds of answers to common questions, and you can also ask other Sellers for advice and best practices on the Seller Community.

I can't synch my assistants phone to my account. She is an existing mobile cashier.

We suddenly get the message "unable to access account" account owner needs to resolve issue

Thank you so much! We ended up calling in and the issue got resolved! It was a bit complicated and I don't think I would do it justice trying to explain what we had to do to get it resolved! Calling in would do the trick :)))))

All I'd like to do is call square and make sure my magnetic strip reader is ordered. It tells me to go to square.com/code which no matter what I do seems to not give me a code. How do I get a hold of square?

All fine in theory Ashley but social media just ghosts you and is no help at all. You can email support every day and you will never get even one reply. I know this because I have emailed support every day for a week and even though responses are promised in 24 hours I have yet to receive even one reply. I get lots of marketing emails but ZERO support in any way, shape, form or fashion. You provide zero support, only platitudes and dead ends. All I have is a $1500 paperweight and a lot of empty promises and un met commitments.

Here are the steps to contact our Customer Success team:

 

  1. Go to squareup.com/help/ca/en/contact
  2. Sign In to your account.
  3. Select your topic or just click More > I don’t see my issue. You'll see the option to Call Us or to connect online. 

Phone support is available Monday to Friday, 6am to 6pm PT.

The info listed above is confusing. I found no option showing Call Us. The only way I found to contact Square is to use the virtual assistant chat and type in "speak to an agent", then the system will give you options in the chat. The system will not reveal an email address, goes to a submit page. Cheers
