Corrected W-2

While filing her taxes, one of my employees discovered that she mis-entered her SSN on her W-4 when she began working for me.  She has corrected the information in her employee account with Square.  How do I reissue a corrected W-2 to her with showing the corrected social security number?

Hey @katherinesasser, welcome to the Seller Community. ๐ŸŽˆ

This is kind of a tricky question, but I can certainly help. So, you won't be able to re-issue a corrected W-2, but you will need to file an amendment. Specifically using the W-2C with the corrected information. Since Square has already submitted the W2 for the year we can't make any changes.

If you have any other questions please let me know! ๐Ÿ˜€

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: amend

We need to have W-2s issued by Square corrected.  How do we go about doing that?
