Completed transactions

Does anyone know if it is possible to highlight a completed order on the transactions page? We are finding when multiple staff are working when we are busy in our cafe, it is difficult to communicate what orders have been completed and which need doing. This is particularly tricky when there are items to be made in the kitchen as well as coffees etc. Help!

Hi @Kilnatnumber12, thanks for your post 😊

To mirror @SVLFever questions and points - can you confirm which Point of Sale app you use? (Point of Sale, Retail, Restaurants).

You can manage online orders and order settings directly from the Square Point of Sale app. To start:

  1. From your Square Point of Sale, go to ☰ More > Orders.

  2. Filter orders by order status and tap one to view details.

As SVLFever mentioned, using filters can help you gain more visibility into order statuses.

I’d suggest testing some of the filter and sort options available in the top-right corner of the Orders page. Do you see the colour highlights per status, similar to the ones shown in my photo?

HI @Kilnatnumber12 ,

Which Square app?   Have you tried adjusting the filters in the order screen to your needs?   Have you tried setting the completed order to "complete" by going to "edit orders" and then "mark as complete"?

Hope this helps.

Hi,
The app we use is the Checkout one where all our products are stored in categories. Our customers order at the till, we click on the item and then the customers pay straight away. We can look up orders on the transactions section, and it is in this area where we need to find a way of completing an order as it does get confusing.

Thank you for your comprehensive answers, but unfortunately it does not help with our query. I am trying to add a photo of the order and transaction area on our till, but it’s not letting me!

Best wishes.

HI @Kilnatnumber12 ,

It looks like you are missing the "orders" button from your bottom bar menu.  You should be able to follow these images to get them set up.   Good luck and let us know if problems.
