Community Survey Results are In!

As part of the Community’s first birthday celebration 🎈 , we decided to put out a survey to see how we’re doing, and what you’d like to get out of the community. Thank you to all of you who responded, your feedback is so valuable! If you haven’t had a chance to respond, you can still do so - the survey will remain open.

 

So now let’s get to the good stuff: the results! 📊

 

What do you want to see more of in the community?  👀
People are interested in seeing more articles related to running your business, as well as more events (online and in-person). From time to time we share articles about running your business (like this one!), but it is definitely something we could do more of. We’ll get right on it!

This week we launched our first ever online Q&A event with an Instagram expert. We plan to do more events like this in the future, and are thinking about ways to pull of an in-person event - no small feat with community members located around the U.S.!

 

Members had some great write-in ideas for the “other” category of this question, including info on how to improve relationships with clients, more free giveaways, and more articles with best practices and “how-to”s.

 

How do you use the Seller Community?  😎
Most people come to the community to ask technical support questions - which is great, we love that this is a resource for you when you’re having a technical issue or question. A lot of people are also looking to the community to learn about Square products. Coming soon, we’re planning to be more purposeful with our product updates to make sure you get all the updates about the features we’re adding and changing.

For those sellers out there asking for advice and giving out general business advice - thank you! This is absolutely a great venue for you to discuss all things business-related. 🙌

  

If you could change one thing about the Community, what would it be?  🤔
Thanks for all your feedback on this one - we got a lot of great write-in responses to this question. A few people mentioned wanting more how-to videos - we have a ton of tutorials available to YouTube, make sure to check it out if you’re interested, and we’ll also make an effort to post more of them here.

 

We also heard again here that people want more info about running their businesses - something we can do more of! Another theme was faster responses. We typically wait about 24 hours to allow for other community members to chime in, but we're planning to experiment with responding faster. 

 

What are the top areas of focus for your business this year? 📈

The last question we asked was around areas of focus for your business. This was extremely helpful information, as we can plan future events and article shares around the top topics here: increasing sales, marketing, and social media.

Some of the “other” responses here were things like increasing number of customer visits, and things related to day-to-day operations, like better managing inventory.
