Clarification Needed ๐Ÿ‘

MANUAL INPUT OF PICKUP & DELIVERIES

At the moment is there anyway for us to manually create pickups and deliveries. I sometimes get telephone orders through as well as messages so I need to know whether I can create orders manually for pickup or delivery and still have the features like sending updates to customers and printing off receipts - most needed for cash on delivery.

 

It would be a huge help especially when managing orders and letting our customers know when their item is ready if they had a mobile number or email address on hand when phoning or messaging our business.

 

CHANGE ITEMS IN POS FOR ONLINE STORE

I'm finding it immensely difficult when changing item details and creating new ones in the POS app only to find that my store still isn't registering stuff. Would it be best for me to create items in future via the online store - and will this be updated in my POS app so I can add them to my checkout page?

 

I have specials on several days so it needs updating each day.

 

It's also incredibly difficult to filter out products in the website. Categories are an absolute pain especially. I just want to edit out products in a particular category but I'm having to search for each individual item. It's very hard for me to manage especially with about 100 products and increasing. Without doubt the online backend side needs a massive overhaul on searching our product list. When it gets even bigger that's when I'll start to get abit worried because I don't want to be searching endlessly for each product in different categories.

 

LOYALTY APPS CURRENTLY WITH SQUARE POS FOR UK CUSTOMERS

At the moment since Square Loyalty hasn't arrived yet are there any affordable solutions for small businesses without paying a massive overhead. I would like to know if there are any integrated 3rd parties that specialise in rewards/loyalty but I only see 2 partners at most on the app marketplace. Are there any in the limelight that aren't listed at the moment because I'm particularly interested in the SMS push notification but it costs as an extra feature.

At the moment, there isn't a way to manually create pickup and delivery orders within the Square Point of Sale app. However, you can still put these through as normal transactions through the app and be able to print off receipt with all the order details.

 

By default, items will sync automatically between Square and the Online Store. If items in your app are not appearing in your Online page, you can try the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Check the item variations in your Square item library, and be sure there arenโ€™t two or more items with the same name. If there are, even if these items have different prices or SKUs, youโ€™ll need to differentiate them by adding a โ€.โ€ (period), โ€-โ€œ (dash), or โ€/โ€ (forward slash) at the end of one name. This will cause items to re-sync.
  2. Additionally, you can go to your Square Online Overview page > Settings > Square sync, toggle off one one of the Sync settings options, and then toggle it back on to trigger a re-sync of that specific setting. This is a good option if, for example, you arenโ€™t seeing your images sync properly.

I'll also pass your feedback regarding items organisation and categories on the Square Online Store to the appropriate team. 

 

Asides from TapMango, we don't have any official loyalty partner. However, Square operates an open system so any company can use our code to create an integration. It might be that someone out there have created the SMS push notification feature but haven't reach out to us officially.
