Checkout sales showing in the orders tab?
We use square online for our takeaway burger service. Orders made remotely for a collection time chosen by the customer work well and show in the "orders" tab.
We also on occasions offer table service using the QR code. This also works well and shows up in the "orders" tab along with the collection orders.
All good so far.
We also sometimes get customers who want to order at the trailer face to face and pay us directly (sometimes cash). We then use the "checkout" tab to take the order and payment, which works. BUT... the order only shows up in "transactions" and the transaction tab has every order placed whether via the QR code, the collection order and orders via checkout. When its busy it is sometimes hard to remember or identify the checkout orders amongst all the others.
Is there a way to get the orders taken manually using checkout to show in the list in the orders tab and if there is, can I manually assign a completion time? Can I add anything (like a name or table number) to identify it? Can these be highlighted as "in progress" and "ready" like the others?

Hey @AandMEvents - I notice you're part of the beta community. Check out THIS POST that might help you out.
I'll not put any more here as although the beta community is open to all it's a private area with it's own T&C's - but this should be the answer.

Thank you, that's indeed the exact solution I need. Sadly I don't seem able to reply in that thread - it says I need to verify my email address (and can't work out how). I'd love to sign up to the beta solution, can you tell me how?

Hey @AandMEvents, I'm just stepping in here!
You should now be able to reply to the post shared above. If you are still running into an issue, please let me know!
I found out this feature has actually been rolled out to Square Point of Sale app running on iPad devices. If you have an iPad, you should be able to enable pickup order by:
- Sign in to your Square Point of Sale app on an iPad
- Go to Settings > Orders > Order creation
- Enable order creation in checkout. Note: you may not be able to do this until you've turned off Dining Options from your Dashboard.
- Once that's done, you should see an option to Schedule for collection at checkout
You can read more about the feature here. I hope this will help!

Hey @AandMEvents, to turn off Dining Options, you'll need to do this via a web browser rather than the Square Point of Sale app actually. If you navigate to your Dashboard > Items > Settings > Dining Options, you should be able to turn them off from there.
