Can you use a personal email for the owner?

I have been using Square for just over a year now. When I run payroll and pay myself, I get my payroll emails sent to the business email address. I have an employee who has access to it and I would prefer for him not to see the details in the email. I cant edit the email in my "team member" profile. It would be great to be able to have a personal email for personal info vs the work email for the overall Square account.

Can you not edit the email because it is the email associated with your square account? 

What I would think to do would be to create yourself as a new team member and leave the "owner account alone" You would probably end up getting 2 different tax documents at the end of the year since you've already been paying yourself as an employee through that team member account. 

The other option would be to change the email associated with your square account and see if it changes your team members email as well. Then your payroll info will be going to the new email and you won't receive square notifications through the work email your employee has access to.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried that but unfortunately I can not make a new team member because it uses my SSN. As soon as I make a new member but it uses the same SSN it will merge the 2 members. 

 

I have also tried to change the email and as soon as I change the email it changes the email for my entire Square account.

 

The support agent said other people have been dealing with the same issue so hopefully someone figures out a way or they come up with a fix on their end.
