Can not manually enter payment on iphone.

I have always been able to manually enter credit card payments on my iphone in the Square app.  It is no longer is an option.  Can someone please help?!

Thanks for reaching out to the Seller Community! Hope I can help clear this up for you. From your settings, please make sure that you have "Manual Credit Card Entry" toggled on.

 

To get there, tap on  > Settings. Next, select Payment Types > Manual Credit Card Entry. As long as it's toggled on (should be blue), you'll be able to proceed with manually entering card payments.

I have someone having the same problem but when they go to settings to turn it on, its not an option. It doesn't even show up on their phone. They have tried deleting app and re downloading it too. 

 

 

Never mind, we got it to finally come up. Must have been a glitch.

I've gone ahead and merged your post with a recent thread regarding Sellers who were also having this same issue. This issue was impacting many Sellers who were manually entering transactions, but has since been fixed with a recent app software update. 

 

We recommend updating to the latest version of our software when you get the chance!

Payment types isn't on the menu under settings.  I don't see how to do a manual card entry anywhere on my iphone app.  Please advise.  Thanks

Payment Types will be located under >Settings, then >Checkout. Here, you'll see the option to toggle on the switch for Manual Card Entry.

I hit the x to the right of all payment types and it moved manual credit card entry to the bottom of the page. Not seeing how to toggle it on

You can re-enable the payment types that are listed as disabled by dragging them up to "More Payment types". Please let us know how you go!

It will not drag.  when I click on it nothing happens.  Need to re-enable the QR code. Please help asap.  Toggle was much better

Sorry to hear that you've run into some trouble taking a payment on your iPhone.

This sounds like a software issue, have you tried deleting the app from your device completely and reinstalling it?

I am also having this issue on a newly downloaded Square app (deleted and reinstalled even).  Credit cards don't always work, or I may not be right in front of a customer.  Incredibly frustrating, especially since I was able to have this function available 6 years ago....
