We log in as the owner, so the owner's first name is on every printed receipt. We pool tips, and we work from the same iPad, so we don't need all of the employees entered into Square.

Thanks for bringing this up. I just double-checked on this and there is not a way to prevent the logged in employee's name from displaying on the printed receipt.

Are there any updates on the issue of having no option to remove employee names on printed receipts? I have some younger team members, and I do not want their names displayed on printed receipts for their safety and privacy.
When can we expect an update on this?

Hey there @TeamHappy I am sorry you are having issues with your employee's name being printed on the receipts. I understand why you don't want that information available. To confirm are these being added in the notes? I haven't come across this issue so I just want to gather as much detail as possible to better assist.

Its on the receipts near the top right under the Time and next to my stores phone number has the Name of the employee....1st Name on Printed Receipt, On digital Receipt that I can see shows 1st and Last name of employee logged in to the POS. Hope this helps.

The current logged-in employee's name is listed at the top of the printed receipt under the date and time. The employee name is not added manually in a note or ticket name. The logged-in employee's name is automatically added to the receipt with no options in Settings to remove the name. At this time, our emailed digital receipts do not have the logged-in employee name listed.
This is where I have looked for receipt setting options:
Square Dashboard > Settings > Account & Settings > Business Information > Receipts
Is there another location with more receipt settings?

I just followed your Link to receipt settings. There is nothing to toggle on/off to print logged in employees name on receipts. Even the sample does not show employees names on them. Since i have Descriptions OFF it does not show the Description which can be toggled on/off in the sample and I was under the assumption this was on setting for ALL receipts not just Printed receipts.

I have a work around. Create an employee business 'Name' Then you have your employees Login But when it asks to continue to Square Pos enter the 4 digit pin for the employee business name. This is what we do since we have no current employees. We have 3 logins for us family members to track hours for tax purposes, then we also have a log in that is for our business name with a 4 digit pin we all know like our home address number, last 4 of a phone number we all know, etc. This way we can still keep track of hours we are here but the only person that uses the POS is Business Name. The only problem is if you have employees you will not know how the drawer is short if you have a joint user account like this. For me instead of showing Keith on the Receipt, it shows Pocono Candle, which i filled in as the first name and Store as the last name for the joint account person. So the name still prints but its not the actual user of the register that is being printed or tracked for any errors in the register.
Not sure if you would want to do this for your Younger employees if a drawer is ever short. I even noticed that my Digital receipt in Transactions shows 1st and Last name, is this on ALL digital receipts to customers too? 1st Name is displayed on Printed receipts but like I just found out Descriptions are on Digital receipts but not printed..... is this the same for the last name of employees? This would sound like a privacy violation for kids with working permits that are under 18 or for people in general.
