Can I make something a requirement to check out, like adding something from a category to continue?
Hi,
I am in the process of setting up my website and with customer feedback have decided to split the item and the design that people need to purchase.
For example, a t-shirt, they would add the t-shirt listing separate to the design they want on the t-shirt.
Is there a way of making it a requirement to add an item from the design category before checking out? So you must add an item from x category and x category? I'm hoping it would stop orders for just designs as they aren't mine to sell and they wouldn't receive anything.
I hope this makes sense. Thank you,
Jaymie

Hi @JaymieMeadows, welcome to the Seller Community!
It sounds like the item and the design will be setup as two different products, is that correct? If that is the case, it isn't possible to make it a requirement for customers to add an item from the one category before checking out.
You can make the design into a modifier for the item or the item into a modifier for the design. With modifiers, you can make it a requirement that customers need to choose one of the options before they can add the item to cart and checkout. You can read more about creating and managing modifiers in our Support Centre.
While this is not ideal, I hope it'll help!
