Any way to turn off "Skip Receipt Screen" for customers with E-mail?

I am not 100% sure if this is how it works but I believe the Receipt Screen is skipped for customers who previously entered their email address on Square Stand even though I have "Skip Receipt Screen" turned off.

 

I understand why that would be the default option but I also have customers who previously emailed their receipt who decide they want a printed receipt that day. In that case, I have to go all the way back into transactions to pull up the Receipt Screen for them. Is there a way to always have the receipt screen show up even for email customers (in their case just have the email field already filled in like phone numbers.

Hi @LennonP, your hunch about the functionality of this feature is correct! If the receipt screen doesn't pop up at all, the customer has more than likely entered their email address or phone number with another Square merchant in the past. The receipt will automatically be sent using the information previously input. 

 

One way to give these customers a printed receipt would be the way you just described: printing from the Transactions section. Alternatively, you can set your Square Stand up so that a receipt always prints automatically!

To set this up, go to your Settings, select Printers (underneath Hardware), and choose the correct printer station. Once here, you'll have some choices of what you'd like to print from your device. Beneath, go ahead and toggle on the Automatically Print Receipt option, and you will get a printed receipt every time you take a payment. As of now, having the receipt screen show up even for email customers would be a feature request.
