Allow access to edit my Weebly online store

I have a weebly site with online store where all my ~200 items for sale are accessed and edited through Weebly. My linked Square account says I have no items. I need someone from Fiverr to have access to my items in my online store to set up Google Merchant centre for me, so need to grant him permissions to access and edit my online store items. I can see how to add him as an editor to my Weebly site, but presumably that is just for the website, not the store. I can see how to add him as a team member to my Square account (if I upgrade to Teams+ which I don't want to do as I don't have a team) but even then presumably he won't be able to access my items to edit them as they are part of my Weebly account, not square and don't show on my Square account. SHouldn't these be the same thing and synced? Any advice welcome!

Hey @SparkingSTEM , thanks for posting!

So you should be able to create a unique set of permissions that will prevent the person you are hiring from Fiverr from having access to certain functions of your Dashboard. You shouldn't need to sign up to team plus, as you are able to create one set of permissions on the free version. You will first need to ass this person as a team member on your Square account:

  1. From the Team tab of your dashboard, click Create Team Member.
  2. Enter the team member’s name, email, and phone number. The team member ID is optional.
  3. Click Save.

Note: Adding an email will invite the team member to access their timecards in the Square Team app.

Once you’ve saved your new team member’s personal information, their team member profile will populate. This profile allows you to edit their personal information, and assign them job titles and wages specific to their job at your business. Adding job titles and wages to a team member lets you track labor costs and, if using Square Timecards, view time spent performing one or multiple job functions at your business.

Next, you should be able to set up permission sets for them. To do so from your online Square Dashboard:

  1. Visit Staff > Team > Permissions in your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Select Team Permissions.
  3. Create or generate a random team passcode. Record and share this passcode with your team.
  4. Select the permissions you’d like all team members to have. If a team member tries to access an area you haven’t selected, they’ll need a passcode from a team member with the correct permissions enabled to proceed.
  5. Click Save.

Once you have that setup, when your employee logs in using their credentials, they will only have access to certain aspects of your Square Dashboard.

Hope this helps!
