Congratulations, welcome, and thanks for beta testing for us!
I finally got the courage to start my business earlier this year and have been reaching more new customers than I'd anticipated. Initially family and friends were my primary customer base but a, few months in, complete strangers started finding me on Instagram and wanting to purchase my products (I sell floral-inspired custom cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and other desserts, like in the attached photos). Really excited to see where this next year takes me and my business!

We began our business last April just as everything was shutting down. We started as an online quilt shop since I had lost my source of income. Our business has continued to grow and 18 months later on October 1st we got the keys for our brick & mortar location. We have gone from just me with a little support from hubby to 5 employees, 4 teachers and growing everyday. We don't take one day for granted but work to focus on customer service and trends in the business. We have also been very happy that Square has grown with us as we need to add features.
@CactusQuilter I can only imagine how exciting it was to get the keys! ๐Congratulations to you and your husband!

Increasing top line Revenue Year over Year since 2019!
A big part of this was doubling down on The Loyalty Program and focusing our efforts on that the last 2 years. We've seen some incredible #'s. Loyalty customers spent 188% more in 2020 than non-loyalty customers. This blew me away and I thought it may have been a fluke BUT in 2021 Loyalty customers spent 207% more than non-loyalty. A testament to the ease of use for my customers and my team to implement the Square Loyalty program. It was something I've tried to find for years and one of the main reasons I switched to Square.

There has been so many wins and loses for our company this year for our company, but the biggest the accomplishment for us this year so far is the steadfast grind that our CEO, Shahid Lamothe has embodied. He is truly the creator, visionary, and true example of Infinite Possibilities. He's one man that wears many hats in the business world. You can read more about our by clicking this link ๐ Our CEO, Shahid LaMothe๐
Biggest accomplishment was I stayed open and still here to face another day.
Same with a few people, I want to say, "The fact that we made it to December with only a few emotional breakdowns and all-nighters!" But in reality, we've seen growth in sales, staff, locations (a pop-up which we finally found a great way to integrate into our online store) and more.
So we've not only survived, but we've thrived.
Hard to see on a day-to-day, but lovely to have the chance to reflect. AND so inspired reading through every one else's wins too. I love it!
SURVIVED AND THRIVED! I LOVE THAT @lenjobakes ! I hope you have some sort of break or vacation coming up after the holidays โจ
Getting on a plane to go and visit my grandparents in the UK for the first time since Oct 2019. The longest I've ever gone without seeing them.
I'm not ready.
Already preparing to be an emotional wreck which will coincide nicely with the classic end-of-year gratitude that comes with entrepreneurship ๐

Wow, we have kicked **bleep** for the past two years. Thanks to quick thinking and maneuvering back in March 2020, we figured this thing out and we are still here. It was tough and there were harsh sacrifices, but we thrived. Our family business exists on the idea that when we fall, we get back up. This year is a record year for gross revenues and 2020 is a blur in the rearview mirror.

Does anyone else feel like 2020 dragged on for what felt like years and 2021 ran right past in a blur of weeks?
I opened for business January 2020 and shuttered March 2020...like WTHeck!! This year has brought on increased revenue, an 100% increase and I thought this was possible but until it happens, it's unimaginable. I've made some partnerships that I want to expand over the next 12 months.
There were super duper scary financial times too, right now I'm optimistic. My biggest accomplishment is doing it scared, there were many moments of doubt but I pushed. Now, on to what's next.

2021 started off with me recovering from a operation that had to be done during Covid ( Dec 23). I was only diagnosed with the congenital defect end of Sept. I was lucky to have a great team in my home city to provide top level care.
With that said I returned by the end of January and itโs really been smooth operation since. I feel without the use of squares products I would not be able to be as self sufficient. I donโt need any staff to run my business. I reached all my goals and never lost any income to speak of. So I can say the business is self sufficient and kind of runs itโs self, that was really my only goal for 2021. 2022 will be even better I can say. I
I was working at one of the oldest clinics in Canada that closed the last week of November 2020. I have been in this profession for close to 20 years, new beginnings are always a ride. Love what I do and who I get to work with.

I @isabelle and community! My biggest accomplishment this year was taking the leap and starting my business. My business is making gifts, clothing and other items from mostly reclaimed materials - fabrics, used/discarded clothing and yarns. I've been doing this for quite a few years now, but this year I decided was the year to turn my hobby into a business. And just yesterday I received my first order from my online store! I've had some success with local fairs and farmers markets as well as friends, family and neighbors from Facebook, but this online order made my heart race! I feel like it is a legit business.
LOVE that you use reclaimed materials!!! That's very cool! You might be interested in chatting with @adamforbes about an app he's helping develop regarding sustainability - https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/General-Discussion/Interested-in-a-climate-sustainability-app-on-...
