Square for Restaurants Plus is integrating with Resy, a reservation platform backed by American Express that helps restaurants with on-premise dining needs with pre-service (waitlist, bookings, floor plan), during service (real-time coursing, seat optimization, guest info), and post-service (survey, reports, integrations) guest management features.
Square Staff is now offering team member badges directly on Square Shop, unlocking more secure  badges for the US and Canada, and expanding to Australia and the UK. Previously, team member badges were only available through a third-party website in the U.S and Canada.

Managers and team members who have the permissions are now able to review, approve and decline team member schedules, timecards, and availability requests directly in the Team app and Dashboard app.
We’ve recently created a new configuration tool that allows you to choose your brand preferences, preview them across surfaces, and seamlessly update them across multiple locations. We are initially launching this centralized Brand Editor with previews of Receipts and X2 POS Buyer Display, but will expand to other products like Invoices, Appointments, Loyalty, and more early in 2025.

As you should have seen by now, we are sunsetting Square KDS on iPad, which means that to keep using the same app, you need to migrate to Android and redownload from the Google Play store. If you are strongly against moving to Android as a hardware or operating system option, we wanted to flag that you do have the ability to migrate over to our preferred partner Fresh KDS.
