[Improved] Brand Editor

Hi Sellers! 👋

We’ve recently created a new configuration tool that allows you to choose your brand preferences, preview them across surfaces, and seamlessly update them across multiple locations. We are initially launching this centralized Brand Editor with previews of Receipts and X2 POS Buyer Display, but will expand to other products like Invoices, Appointments, Loyalty, and more early in 2025.

What’s new?

Now you can add your brand’s colors and logo to Receipts and POS from a centralized Brand Editor. Simply add your branding, preview and adjust it, and apply it to your choice of locations.

How do I access the Brand Editor?

Settings > Business information > About my business > Apply branding

*This update is gradually being rolled out, so please be patient if you don’t yet have access.

Hello, we LOVE this new feature! The only issue we have is that the business name is overlayed on top. Are we able to make this a disable-able option? Thank you!

Hi @ryanbaffin! Great question - let me reach out to @srutz_SQ and confirm whether or not that is something that should be able to be adjusted in the POS branding option in the dashboard. We will get back to you ASAP - thanks for your patience!

Hi @ryanbaffin - glad to hear you're loving the new branding tools! Really appreciate your feedback!

To remove the name overlay on Square Register, you must go into Square Register's settings on the device, then navigate to Hardware > Customer Display. There you'll see a toggle to "Show Business Name on Idle Screen" that you can turn off. This option is specific to each device, so you may have to do this across multiple devices if you have more than one.

We agree the name over an image doesn't look great, so we're working to make the name overlay hide automatically when an image is being used on the Customer Display.
