Hey all,
Weโre excited to announce a few improvements to the Appointments calendar that can help you manage recurring and cancelled appointments:
Recurring Appointments Improvements:
- Cancel โthis and followingโ on iOS and web - previously you could only cancel a single appointment in a recurring series, or all appointments in a recurring series, but now you can cancel an appointment and any appointments following it. Note that this feature is not yet available on Android or Square Register.
- โOn Nth W Day of the Month'' on all platforms - previously you could only create โOn Nth Day of the Monthโ appointments but now you can create appointments that recur on the Nth weekday of the month. For example, while previously you could only create a recurring appointment โOn the 1st Day of the Monthโ, now you can create a recurring appointment โOn the 1st Monday of the Monthโ.
View Canceled Appointments on Calendar on iOS
You can now view canceled appointments on your calendar on iOS.
When you or a customer cancels an appointment, you can now confirm that the cancellation went through and have visibility into cancellations on your calendar.
To use this feature:
1. Go to calendar settings.
2. Under Additional Filters > Turn on the โShow cancelled appointmentsโ filter
3. Canceled appointments should now appear in gray with strikethrough on all calendar views.

@Seamus will this become available on square hardware? This feature is something we have been waiting on however it doesn't help if it doesn't blanket over all our devices.
Thanks
Lauren

Hey @LVKmusic,
Thanks for reaching out!
Generally speaking we aim for product parity across platforms, often features will launch on one platform while still being developed for others, though sometimes there may be technical limitations at play as well. I've reached out to our Appointments team to try and get some further clarity on if all of these features are currently planned for other platforms or not.

@LVKmusic I don't have a timeline to share at the moment for other platforms, however our Appointments team were keen to know which of the two iOS-only features we launched was the one you've been waiting for, and what's your preferred device - eg Android, Square Register, Square Terminal.
Thanks! Feedback like this can help our product teams get an idea of what's most in-demand!

Thanks for the additional context @LVKmusic - I've passed it onto the Appointments team. Hopefully we'll see these new features available on more platforms in the future!

Hi
I have a much more detailed query about the Calendar. A request, actually. Since COVID my service business has moved online and I have acquired international clients but a) the calendar only shows bookings in Australian time zones, and b) will only take Australian mobile phone numbers which means that foreign clients can't book appointments with me unless they put in a bogus phone number (most give up at this point). Then if they do put in a bogus number they don't get a text reminder prior to the appointment (only an email reminder comes to them). I would greatly appreciate if you could adjust the system to at least take foreign mobile phone numbers. And could you let me know if this is ever likely to occur and therefore should start looking for an alternative calendar/payment system.
Thank You.
