[New] Clock-in Geofencing
We are excited to introduce our newest feature, clock-in geofencing.
Available with a Shifts Plus, Retail Plus, Restaurants Plus, and Appointments premium subscription.
Managing your team's time is a critical job as a Square seller. The Square Team app is a convenient way to provide freedom and flexibility to your team members, but ensuring that time is accurate requires time out of your day to review and high trust to ensure team members are being honest about when and where they are clocking in.
We have heard your feedback to add more security and safeguards to this area and now offer the ability to set up a location-based geofence to ensure your team members are on site when clocking-in for a shift.
Geofencing for all your locations
You can have a geofence setup for any or all of your business locations.
Set a custom radius for your geofence.
Not all locations are alike. Customize the size of your geofence with a radius that works best for your business to ensure accurate enforcement.
Peace of mind
Team members must validate their location prior to clocking-in for a shift. If unable to verify on the Team App, the POS can still be utilized to ensure time is tracked and you are able to accurately compensate your team.
This feature is OFF by default, but can be enabled on the Shifts > Settings > Clock in/out screen.
