We’ve updated our printer settings on Square for Restaurants (iOS and Square Register) to make it easier than ever to configure a printer, select items or categories to print, or to identify which printer is connected to the Square app.
With the updated printer settings, you are now able to separate in-person vs. online order tickets, print single item and compact printers, and more easily configure your printer stations.
- On your iOS device, Printers has moved out of Hardware and are now found in the primary Actions menu.
- On Square Register, you can still find these settings by going to Utilities > Settings > Printers.
- Finally, for Square for Restaurants users, only quick sale order ticket settings for automatic number numbers or custom names are now configured through the Dashboard in your Device profile (from Devices > Points of Sale > click a device).
If you are an existing Square seller with a printer already connected on Square for Restaurants Point of Sale, your current configurations will still work. These changes will not impact the functionality of your printer set up.
But if you’d like to use single item prints, or adjust your online vs. in store printed tickets, you can now do that from your printer stations.
