funding time

I am a new user of Square. My customer paid an invoice with a credit card on 03.06 and after 6 days I yet to receive funds.  Square has asked for me to go through a verification process twice each time saying that funds will be in my bank with in two business days after submit my response.

As I see this is your first post welcome to the Square sellers community.

 

I went through the setup process for Square in 2019.  Set the account up on a Thursday, and had to send in a BUNCH of information to identify my Business account and ownership of the business.  Had my first sales on a Saturday, and deposits hit my bank account on Monday or Tuesday.  I did have all the forms from the Bank and all account numbers and documents all showed the business as owner of the accounts and my paperwork from the creation of my business as me the owner.  Now with all the scams during 2020 for crooks to steal funds from Covid relief assistance the process you are going through might be different andSquare is just trying to make sure that these accounts are real.  Even back in 2019, Square sent my business account a small deposit and then withdrew that same amount.  This was to verify I gave the correct banking information and it was an active account.  I actually think I had to enter this amount in some document and send it back to Square to verify it was my account too.  This might also have to do with all the illegals who crossed the boarder and had no background checks to see if they worked for criminals or drug cartels, and Square might be trying to keep them from scamming people.  

 

So just make sure you keep on top of the paperwork that Square asks for and make sure it is correct, all those numbers for accounts and ID etc it is easy to fill in a wrong digit get the wrong order by accident.
