Using EGift Cards with Multiple Clients
Hi ALL!
I am trying to determine if eGift cards would work to help me TRACK sales for multiple clients? As a media company, we offer our clients a central location to display info about their business to our audience. In exchange for being a member of our community, our company shares a small portion of each sale. Would it be BEST to set general amounts (ie, $10, $25, $50, $100, etc) and use PROMO Codes to distinguish which merchant the customer is purchasing from? I hope this makes sense. I am eager and excited for any and all feedback. Thank you kindly.

Hey @CEOCutressa,
I think I understand what you're saying but want to be sure.
Do you mean this in a sense of tracking sales for each eGift Card?
The part about which merchant they're purchasing from is throwing me off a bit since I'm thinking of you as the merchant.

@ashc - thank you kindly for responding to me. YES, that is correct, I want to track each code. The reason is that my site will serve as a "marketplace" for other businesses and in exchange for being a part of our community, my company will receive a percentage of each sale, so I must be able to track all sales. I hope that clarifies my request much better to help you better help me. Thank you again.

@CEOCutressa Of course!
Yes I think the way you described would actually be the only way to track whose is whose here.
There's not another way to necessarily know or label them aside from that so I'd say your idea is best!
