I'm selling on squre online for one month, today I met a buyer on social media, but she seems a teenager and after she purchased two items from me, she asked for cancelling one item. So I did cancel and square sent me a notification that refund was successful. 10 minutes later, she asked me through instagram that when I can sent the email to her, and also asked me to change her email to make sure that I sent a correct email to her. For me it's really suspicious, as normally people also can ask me about the tracking through social media etc. And I said I would send email when the item has shipped out, and then she kept saying that as long as I send everything (also include refund notification) to her new email. I feel like she might use parents' bank card to buy from my shop but the parents don't know about it. I'm very struggling in this situation, in addition, I asked buyer to confirm the last time but then she never replied me.
I was wondering would I get scammed in this situation? like parents asked the bank to refund them but I've sent my item out already, etc.
Thank you so much in advance!

Hi there @rumorous!
Situations like these are very difficult, my advice would be to keep all official business to official methods such as email or sending a message through Square. Also for this order if you don't feel 100% confident sending something to this buyer cancel the order completely and issue a full refund, it's not worth the stress of getting yourself into an expected chargeback. What're you selling? Is it something a teenager may be trying to get hold of? Is it something they maybe shouldn't have so they wouldn't have permission to buy it legitimately? These will all be factors that lead to your decision as to whether it's worth keeping this order ready to send out or cancelling it completely.
I hope I could help, if I did, please mark this as best answer as it is imperative users in this situation are able to seek advice as to what other sellers would do in a similar situation.

I'm selling clothes and they're the kinda style that teenager would like I reckon, and I'm always suspicious about being scam. I asked the buyer if she can confirm with me completly yesterday but she can't, so I've fully refunded her and it made me released! I didn't really make it too official methods on my social media and it cause me pressures, your suggestion is really helpful and I marked as best answer 🙂 Thank you so much for the advice!
