Hi Seller Community!
We are thrilled to share a BIG upcoming change for the Community: NEW AVATARS.
@puka has been working hard on a massive library of avatars and we are getting ready to deploy them on October 21st, 2020 at 08:00AM British Summer Time (BST). We are introducing 500+ shiny new human 🧑🏽🦰 avatars with more diversified features and replacing our previous library of animal avatars with robots 🤖.

Why are we doing this?
- Our current set of avatars is not varied enough to adequately represent our diverse Community. This is no one's fault, but our new library will enable folks to select an avatar that looks more like them should they so choose.
- Right now, only Square employees are able to select human avatars. The Community is a shared space for Employees and Sellers, and we want to draw from the same pool of images to represent us.
- The new avatars just look way better 🙂
How will this be rolled out?
- We will be deploying the new set avatars on October 21, 2020 at 08:00AM BST. At that time, every seller in the Community will be assigned a robot avatar.
- After that, sellers can visit their Edit Profile page to select any new avatar that represents them (human, robots or otherwise).
Our ask for you is to take the action above, and replace your avatar with a new picture on October 21st, 2020.
