How do I attach modifiers such as “no, hold, sub, extra” to my regular modifiers such as cheese

Trying to attach conversational modifiers to food modifiers. I do not need all of the amenities of square restaurant app. I see how they are used in that app, but cannot get them to apply to my modifiers.

Hey and welcome to the Seller Community @Goodloven! 

Let's start setting this up from your Online Dashboard. Head to your modifiers page and go ahead and either create a modifier set if you haven't already. If you have "cheese" already created, select that modifier.

You'll see a side panel that shows up titled Edit Modifier Set. There's a section with an empty line that says New Modifier. That's where you'll be able to input "no, hold, sub, etc" on each line. It should look like this when you're setting it up:
