if i order the square terminal will it work on the go? or do you have to have internet/wifi? like we want to have one of these for our business on the go so customers can pay after the job is done?

you can use it when you have no internet if you enable offline mode, but that comes at a risk as there isn't a way to verify the payment is good until you get it connected to the internet.  https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5095-process-payments-with-offline-mode

my advice would be to use your phone's hotspot to connect when taking payments.
