There are no PCI compliance charges for processing with Square.  Perhaps it's something remaining from your previous service?  Somehow they got your credit card information. You'll definitely want to contact Security Metrics to inform them that you do not need their service.

I had the same problem with Securty Metrics, was from my previous service, had to have my bank stop all charges from them and mark the emails as "spam". Good luck
