When I buy a new domain in Square, it changes my website IRL although I didn't mean it to.

For example, I started with relationshipgardening.com, then bought spousesresourcecenter.com and .org.  It changed my IRL to spousesresourcecenter.com

I just bought hypnosishelpme.com and again it changed my url to that.

How can I just keep relationshipgardening.com?

I just want to point the other domains to relationshipgardening.com for now.

Hi @couplescoach.  Great timing!  I actually did this very thing a few days ago.  I almost fell into the trap you did before I realized it and changed paths!  So….

Go back to the list of domains you have purchased at Online -> Website -> Domains.

Click “Manage” beside the domain that should host your website and select “Manage Domain.”  Click “Edit site destination” and then select “connect to one of my current sites.  That should only list your one site which you choose and Save.

Then, for all of the other domains, do Manage -> Edit site destination -> Forward to a URL -> www.sitetoforwardto.com

That should get all of the 301 redirects working as you want!

Well how quickly I trashed everything. So I did your suggestion to ...

Square then sent hypnosishelpme.com to a 404 error page.

So I went back and tried the other thing you mentioned

Now that broke my redirects for relationshipgardening.com which happened to be the one site I have on my thousands of pieces of marketing materials and also profiles and contact info for the last 10 years. It now sends me to relationshipgardening.weebly.com and that is also showing 404. All of the domains used to go to my one website. Now none do.

HELP.

Also I am extremely not a techie-I am a therapist so please newbie it for me.

How do I fix this?

OK-update. I just went back into my dashboard and published again my website relationshipgardening.com and at least all the site is there and hypnosishelpme.com goes there. HOWEVER, instead of the relationshipgardening.com which I paid to upgrade a while back so I could drop the weebly-is back in the irl.

Do I need to start a new thread to get an answer to this?

To clarify-the weebly is now back in my irl.

I want all the domains to go to relationshipgardening.com.

It looks like they are going to the site, but the domain name in the address bar says relationshipgardening.weebly.com which I paid to drop that weebly.

how to get the weebly back out of the address?

Well…. I’m not sure what happened.  I kept looking at your different URLs and noticed they keep moving between 404 and unsecured and .weebly.  Since you haven’t reached back out, I’ll have to assume that you have it under control, though.

If you decide that you’d like to talk it through, my offer is still open.  Number on my web site below.  I’m pretty sure we can resolve this pretty quickly.

I got the square support staff to fix it..that's why you were seeing changes. I think we got it straightened out for now and I'm gonna work on building a site just for hypnosishelpme.com thanks!

I’m very glad to hear that! I noticed before I closed up shop that all the pointers were pointing where they should be. I figured that Square might be on it for you! They’re good like that!
