What is the difference between sending a customer a check out link and sending an invoice link?

I am not clear on the difference between sending an invoice link and a check out link? I don't have a store.

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

A checkout link is a link you send from your Square Online Store. It will show your customer how to checkout in your Online Store for a specific item. 

An invoice is a one time invoice link. You produce the invoice specifically for that customer.
