Using a shipping app

Hi, I'm new to Square and I'm setting up my free online store. I'm a bit confused on whether or not I need to use a shipping app? I created accounts with both Shippo and Easyship (checking them both out), but now I'm wondering if I really need to use them, or if I can just ship & print labels directly from my Square account?

Again, I'm on Square's free plan, not sure if that makes a difference or not regarding shipping.

Currently we do not use a shipping app for our online sales.  But copying and pasting the name and address gets long and tedious to compare which shipping method to use....USPS, UPS or FedEx.  I looked into a few of the shipping apps and when our volume increases it might be worth it.  Currently we only ship 6-10 packages a day....in the fall that number averages 25-40 packages a day. We have free shipping over a certain amount of a sale or the customer can choose a preferred method.  When they choose we just copy the address into their preferred method and we go to the next order.  We Print our mailing labels right from USPS, UPS or our FedEx accounts.  

If you are trying to save, you can do all this manually with copy and paste, till your business grows where it pays to offset the labor cost and time (time is $$$) to use the Shippo or Easyship ... Pirateship or any others.

Just updating this; shortly after I asked this question, I finally stumbled upon the answer in the 'help guides' that are available.
