To go Croissant are taxable?

hi community,

Here is Giovanni, a new Square customer.

I discovered yesterday that Croissant and pastries TO GO can not be taxed.

Do you know something about it?

How can i set Square to Divide To go croissant ( they are kind of a lot differents) from the one people eat in the bakery?

Thank you so much,

if my English is not that perfect i'm so sorry.

Giovanni! 🙂

Hi Giovanni! Yes you can edit your taxes and make it so that items to go are exempt from taxes. Then when you’re ringing out an item you just mark it as to go and it won’t be taxed.
Here is an article that explains it a bit better than I.
