Tipping on Services ONLY

Unless I am mistaken, Square POS calculates for tips on the total.

Based on conversations with colleagues from around the US, it would be hugely appreciated if there could be a way to automatically calculate tips on services only.

I second this idea, and for invoices too! It'd be ideal if we could flag certain items as being service charges (vs goods, etc), and/or have tips calculate based on an item's category.

I would love to see this feature added to square. Where tips are based on services and not the total bill. I see retail as well as provide services, and have to explain how much their service was every time. It would be great if square could separate this on screen as well- where each service and retail item is shown after checkout, with the option to tip on services only.

We have been tracking this issue for a while.  This post is the most recent request for calculating tip on services only.  The first post I could find was from 2016.  

Dear Square - Please add this feature to your system.  It is long overdue.
